With the money we collected from selling beer, we rented a Miles and drove to the hardware store to buy a few hundred euros worth of concrete. We got debris from everywhere; Chris mother still had some in her garden. The other half consists of beer cans and trash. We build these places even though it is clear that they will be torn down again. This city is not for the people who live in it, but for profit and a polished image. So what is really left, if not taking back the city you live in? We do it with concrete, in places where rats live and there is enough trash to fill ramps. Places that have somehow been forgotten, creating space for something to emerge from the dirt. Since 2023, I have been photographing my friends building these ramps.

Sloe Noon in NYC
I was in New York City with Sloe Noon. They played concerts, and we ate burgers.
Hey Dad,
Hey Dad,
When I was 23, my therapist suggested that I should meet my father. I was three years old the last time I saw him. I wrote him a letter, asking him to tell me who he is. All I know about him are the stories other people have told me. As a child, I wrote him many letters, hoping that somehow we would meet. He never wanted to see or speak to me. He replied to my last letter, saying he would write me a detailed one soon. That letter never came. So I began collecting everything I could find that was connected to him. In 2020, I made a book, hoping it would bring this part of my story to an end. But every time I think I've reached an ending, something opens up again. So I've decided to keep working on it, adding to it whenever I find something that carries the story forward.

It was only a glimpse of light that remained during that time. I felt as if I were swimming in feelings and ideas, in fear of fear itself. You were there for me, and it was never your fault, N. Thank you.

I think I would have liked to become a painter, a writer, or a singer, but I can't paint, and my words never felt strong enough. So photography became the way to tell this. It began with a fear of forgetting, of losing time, memories, or parts of myself. That feeling has not really gone away, and in many ways this work still grows from it. What remains is a collection shaped by fragments rather than order. There is no clear narrative and no chronology, just moments that felt important enough to hold on to. Over time, these images have also become a reflection of the chaos that has always been part of my life, something I both embrace and resist. All photographs shown here were taken between 2015 and today.

I studied Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography in Hannover and completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2025. Since 2022, I have been living in Hamburg, working as a freelance photographer, focusing primarily on portrait and event photography.

In my personal projects, I tend to explore themes that are closely connected to my own life or to the experiences I encounter in the world around me. I enjoy working with a variety of media, experimenting with different ways to tell stories.

I want to keep doing what I love without ever compromising it.
